He was predeceased by: his parents, Titus Griffin and Nora Smith Griffin; his brothers, William, Harold and Titus, Jr.; and his grandson Brantley James Griffin.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra H. Griffin; his sons, Chad Griffin (Emily) and Matthew Griffin (Mandy); the mother of his children Barbara; his daughter Wendy Cook (Chris); his grandchildren, Morgan, Carson, Lauren-Kate, Peyton and Paige; and his niece Wyndee Leigh Boyd (Matt). He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
