She was predeceased by: her son Lamont Demario Ellis; her parents, George J. Thomas and Elnora Thomas; and her brother Larry D. Thomas. She is survived by: her children, Chantel Oatman (Paul) of Aiken, SC, Lamar Ellis of Pembroke, KY and Shemika Ellis of Aiken, SC; and her siblings, George Payne (Gwen) of Cedar Hill, TX, Elaine Johnson Li (Steve) of Jacksonville, FL, Melody Woodard (Maurice) of Kennesaw, GA, Stanley Thomas of Tulsa, OK and Brenda Thomas Lester (Harold) of Jacksonville, FL. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
