He is survived by: his wife Shirley Norman Dawkins; his children, Daniel Bunch Dawkins, Jr. and Beth Dawkins Antonakos (Clay); his grandchildren, Jack Ross, Sims Hollin and Lollie Elizabeth; his siblings, Linda Miller (John Robert) of Beech Island, SC, Lillie Thornton (Mike) of Washington and David H. Dawkins of Lincolnton; his mother-in-law Mary Elizabeth Norman; his pet Buddy; James, Margaret Jones, Valerie, Ricky Raley, Clarence, Melissa Norman and Peyton Norman (DeAnna). He is also survived by his wife's brothers and sisters.
