He is survived by: his wife Earnestine Burnett; his siblings, Mary Palmer (Bernice), Thelma "Betty" Allen (Kevin), Barbara Hammonds, Joyce Royal, Shelia Burnett, Deborah Burnett and Donnell Burnett, Sr.; and his children, Schantavia "Tavis" (Sylvia), Kenya Burnett Lee (Curtis), Christopher Middleton (Charlene), Shantyra Middleton-Dunn (Richard), Thelma "Gennara" Burnett, Veronica Frazier (Carl) and Monica Burnett. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 3 grand pups, a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
