It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edgar Palmer Smith (Augusta, Georgia), born in Mitchell, Georgia, who passed away on August 7, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Ivy Smith and Maude Palmer Smith. He is survived by: his wife Carole Jones Smith; his children, Scott Smith (Vivian), Lisa Smith and George Raley (Charlotte); his grandchildren, Eric Smith (Silvia), Brinson Raley, Brian King and Michael King (Jennifer); and his great grandchildren, Destiny King, Kaleigh King, Kinsley King and Kayden King.
