It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eleanor Calley Cross of Augusta, Georgia, born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on August 6, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Calley and Eunice Calley; her spouse Stacy "Pete" Story of Atlanta; her sister Eva Jarrell of Milwaukee, WI; her grandson Stacy Hammond Story IV; her stepdaughter Louise Cross Kelbaugh; and her stepdaughter-in-law Ann Haden Cross.
She is survived by: her children, Stacy "Chip" Story (Nancy) of Augusta, Stephen Story (Robyn) of Tampa, Michael Story (Susan) of Durham, NC and Ellen Story Ashe (Steve) of Evans, GA; her stepson Bill Cross (Spencer) of Lynchburg, VA.; her grandchildren, Brent Story (DeeDee), Stephen Story (Tanya), Jessica Nance (Josh) of Apex, NC, Emily Story (Ravi) of High Point, NC, Caro Ashe Plunkett (Richard), Evan Ashe of Seattle, WA and Haden Cross of Arlington, VA.; her great grandchildren, Jack, Lily Story, Beckett, Mary Charlotte, Maddox, Bailey Catherine Plunkett, Madison, Aspen, Brynn Story of Tampa, FL., Rebecca, Stacy Story of Knoxville, TN., Johny and Cate Nance of Apex, NC.; and her caregivers, Amy Kilpatrick, Kim Grice and Wanda Taylor.
