He was predeceased by: his parents, Carrie Bell Marshall Hightower and Anderson Hightower, Sr.; and his siblings, Anderson Hightower, Jr., Leonard Hightower, Lucius Hightower, Robert Lee Hightower, Sr., David Hightower and Betty Pettiford.
He is survived by: his children, Larry Hightower (Faye), Adaryl Hightower, Allison Hightower Sabb (Alton) and Stephine Wright; and his siblings, Patricia A. Wiggins (Robert), Nellie Mae Gracia (Rene), George Hightower (Mary Ann), Watkins Hightower (Sandra) and James Hightower. He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren.
