He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank O. Byrd Sr. and Bethany Raborn Byrd; and his brother Arthur Byrd. He is survived by: his wife Louise Corley Byrd; his children, James Oswald Byrd (Lisa), Michael Corley Byrd (Kelli) and Lisa Louise Byrd; his grandchildren, Brittany Byrd Wilkerson (Jimmy), Brooke Byrd Shapiro (Jake), Haylie Byrd James (Chris) and Courtney Byrd Custer (T. J.); his great grandchildren, Lee Custer, Logan Custer, Riggins Shapiro and Ellis Leigh James; and his caregiver Dr. Kraig Wangsnes.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to The American Heart Association.
