He was predeceased by: his father Freddie Ruffin; his sister Dr. Patricia Ruffin-Kitaw; and his wife Ericka Bauer Ruffin. He is survived by: his siblings, Jacquelyn Wright and Alfredy Earl Ruffin (Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Alicia, Lauryn, Mariah and Aaron McCardell IV; his nephew Gregory Wright (Shannon); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, LeAsia Wright Woods (Christopher) and Eythian Wright.
