She was predeceased by: her parents, Hosey Elam and Viola Jones Elam; her husband Wesley Carter Jr.; her sons, Bruce Carter of New York and Tony Carter of New York; and her siblings, George Elam, Geneva Mathis, Ethel Sampson and Betty Jean Littles.
She is survived by: her children, Danny Carter and Anne Liese Carter; and her brother Robert Elam (Doris). She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
