Poteet, Sr. (Patricia Atha) and Kerry Vaughan Poteet Walker (Joe); his siblings, Anna Poteet Lewis (Mike), Thomas C. "Buzz" Poteet, Jr. (Lastarr), Margaret Elizabeth Poteet (Ben Smith), Stephen W. Poteet (Tara), Andrew V. Poteet (Carolina) and Clare Poteet Boulus (Greg); his parents-in-law, Jesse Palmer III and Carol Palmer; and his brother-in-law Jesse Campbell Palmer IV (Christy).
