It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Kanavage of Augusta, Georgia, born in Baxley, Georgia, who passed away on August 13, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vance Gaston White and Viola Orien Carson White; her husband Dr. Chester B. Kanavage; and her siblings, J. W. White, Peggy Chancey and Rose Boatright.

She is survived by: her daughter Kim Kanavage; her son-in-law David King of North Augusta, SC; her sons, Stan (Anne Kanavage) and Van (Emily Kanavage); her sister Fannie Mae McDaniel of Baxley; her grandchildren, Kane (Marcie), Grant, Kaylee and Grace; and her great grandchild Kennedy.
