He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Barbara Morris Dean and Herbert Allen Dean; his wife Margaret Rose Whitlow of Roxboro, NC; his son Herbert Allen Dean, III (Sandi); his grandchildren, John Lee Dean (Hannah) and Lilly Klein; and his sisters, Barbara Carol Dean (Don) and Jacqueline Dean Jennings (Jay). He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
