We are sad to announce that on October 18, 2023, at the age of 91, James Edward Adkinson (Augusta, Georgia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Adkinson and Josephine Ethel Ready Adkinson; his daughter Kathy Lybrand; and his siblings, Earl Adkinson, Jr., Sarilda Grey, Shirley Proctor, Mary Fordham and Joann Roscoe.

He is survived by: his children, Edward "Gene" Adkinson (Terri), Joyce Banks (Jimmy), Shari Day (Ronald) and Christy Strength; his grandchildren, Marty Adkinson, Jamie Altman, Samuel Adkinson, Maranda Welch, John Allen Wheeler, Erica Talbert, Amanda Faircloth, Lane Strength, Christen Swafford, Dana Wright and John Thomas Hall; and his brothers, Robert Adkinson and Wade Adkinson. He is also survived by his eighteen great grandchildren, and five great great- grandchildren.
