He is survived by: his wife Betty Mayton Powell; his daughters, Kathryn Powell Vincent (Scott) of Nashville, TN, Lauren Powell Land (Adam) of Augusta, GA and Kristen Marie Powell; his grandchildren, John Powell Vincent, Franklin Samuel Land, Anne Nicholas Mayton Land and Chloe Powell; and his sister Casandra Nicholas Powell of Marietta, GA.
