He is survived by: his wife Martha Moore Waters; his sons, James Russell Waters Jr. (Michelle), Kevin Michael Waters (Holley) and Jason Andrew Waters; and his stepchildren, Kim Howell, James McNair and Chris McNair (Rebecca). He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
