He was predeceased by: his mother Ella Mae Neely; his sister Clara Scott; and his father Henry Smith Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Gracie F. Smith; his brothers, Charlie Neely (Renee) and Henry Smith Jr.; his children, Frank Smith (Loretta), Leon Palmer (Jeanette), Dorothy Ellis (Larry), Jimmie Smith (Teresa), Jack Smith (Diane), Curtis Smith, Gail Smith Harris and Tammie Ray (William); his aunt Geneva Thomas; his uncle George Hatcher (Roberta); and his godchildren, Keri, Kimberly, Bryan, Deric, Lynwood, Tianna and Michael. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
