He was predeceased by: his parents, Chesley McCorkle and Lillian McCorkle; his brother Wayne McCorkle; and his children, Christy Marie McCorkle and Kenny McCorkle.

He is survived by: his wife Chris McCorkle; his children, Angie Byrd (David), Mike McCorkle, Joe McCorkle, Andrew Whipple (Angela), Jeremy Whipple (Ashley), Stephen McCorkle (Monica) and Elizabeth McCorkle (Jackson); and his brothers, G. C. McCorkle and Warren McCorkle. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Masters Worship Center.
