He is survived by: his parents, John Pope and Tammye Pope; his children, Jason A. Whitaker, Jr., Faith Whitaker and Hailey Whitaker; his siblings, Winter Lindemuth (Charles) of Augusta, Jennifer Sanders of Augusta, Sarah Pope, John Pope, Jr. and Johnathon Pope; and his close friend Tiffany Johnson (TJ, family: Jaidyn, Joyce, Tony). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
