He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Swearingen and Estelle Rumbley Swearingen; and his sister Rosemary Brown. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Swearingen; his children, Robin Walker (Scott) of Augusta and Patrick Swearingen of Augusta; his grandchildren, Lee Smith of Augusta, Michael Prothman (Rachel) of Augusta, Kylee Zahner (Trevor) of Augusta and Jessie Ligon (Chad) of Hephzibah; his great grandchildren, Paige, Mikey, Blakelee, Kenzlee, Luke and Jenne; and his brothers, David Maroney (Judy), Robert Swearingen (Jan) of Augusta, Jimmy Swearingen (Debbie) of Augusta and Charles Wood (Melinda) of Evans. He is also survived by numerous niece and nephews.
