It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Elizabeth Hardy in Augusta, Georgia, who passed away on September 12, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Benjamin Hardy and Evelyn Bizzle Hardy; her sister Mary Hardy Amyette; her niece Cam Stanley Sutton; and her brother-in-law William Franklin Stanley Jr..
She is survived by: her daughters, Lisa Spence (Glenn) and Amy Spence Johnson; her grandchildren, Molly Johnson Berg and Jacob Fitzgerald Glenn; her great grandchildren, Bennett Owen Berg and Cooper Jackson Berg; her sister Anne Hardy Stanley; and her sibling's children, William Franklin Stanley III, Brent Hardy Amyette and Allison Amyette McCarley.
A reception was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at 2002 Greenbriar Rd, Kinston, NC 28501.
