He is survived by: his wife Betty; his son John Emanuel Bodie, IV (Brittany James); his grandchildren, Jameson and John Emanuel Bodie; his brother Jimmie Keith Bodie (Cookie); his nieces, Kim Roland (Phillip) and Tracy Johnson (Chris); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Alyson (Gabe), Kinsey, Jake, Gracie, Jase, Jordan Ashley (Nicklas) and Gavin.
