He was predeceased by: his father Hiram Bert Boutwell, Sr.; his brother Dr. Hiram Bertram Boutwell; and his granddaughter Mary Louise Boutwell. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ella Phelps Boutwell of Evans, Georgia.; his children, Dr. Darrell Boutwell (Carol) of Augusta, Georgia, Dr. Randall Boutwell (Traci) of Augusta, Georgia and Kim Goss (Bill) of Appling, Georgia; his grandchildren, Ben Goss, Chris Goss, Abbie-Leigh Shively (Austin), Jessica Davis (Taylor), Kaitlyn Gossard (Ben) and Clark Boutwell; and his great grandchildren, Jackson, Tabb and Brighton Davis. He is also survived by many cousins, nephews, and nieces.
