The passing of John Wesley Seaman of Augusta, Georgia leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on December 10, 2025 at the age of 90. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Beatrice Seaman (Griffith) and Pearly Howell Seaman; his wife Catherine Seaman (Kelley); his brother James David Seaman; and his grandson John Wesley Seaman III (Judd).
He is survived by: his children, John W. Seaman, Jr. and Margaret Barmore (Peggy); his children-in-law, Benjamin B. Barmore and Samantha H. Seaman; and his grandchildren, Emily H. Arrington, Mallory B. Lane, Benjamin Barmore, Charlie Barmore and Dylan A. Seaman. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Fort Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mineral Springs Baptist Church (7359 Hamburg State Park Rd, Mitchell, GA 30820).
