He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Shaffer and Mae Shaffer Buck; and his siblings, Donald Shaffer and Lewie Shaffer. He is survived by: his children, Joseph George Shaffer Jr. and Tina Morgan; his stepsons, Joseph Pagano and Mark Pagano; and his siblings, Ellen Gleason, Emma Cruz, Eunice Morris and Frank Buck. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren/great grandchildren.
