He was predeceased by: his father Ronnie Nevils; his stepfather Pat Farr; his grandparents, J. Lester, Mary Alma Newsome, Carl and Martha Nevils; and his aunt JoAnn Faulkner.

He is survived by: his children, Taylor Tant, Joey Nevils, Jr., Lily Nevils and Paisley Nevils; his mother Debbie Nevils Farr; his sisters, Christie Nevils and Angie Nevils; his siblings' children, Mary Elizabeth Ferron, Mallory Miller, Trace Brinson and Mason Miller; his great-niece Gracie Brinson; his uncles, Joey Newsome (Debbie), Richard Nevils, Sr. (Selita) and Gene Nevils (Gail); and his aunt Teresa Quarles (Doug).

A funeral service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors (214 Davis Rd, Augusta, GA 30907). Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the same location.
