He is survived by: his siblings, Betty Ann Bales of Thompson and Danny Shirey of Augusta, Georgia.; his children, Cindy Brinson (Jimmy) of Harlem, Gerald Shirey (Donna) of Augusta, Laurie Wright (Doug) of Martinez, Gale Key (Ashley) of Martinez, Curt Mueller of Augusta and Jimmy Mueller of Columbia; and his grandchildren, Curtis Mueller, Tiffany Dupree (Joe), Felicia Freeman (Daniel), James Mueller Jr. (Vicky), Ashlee Parr (Nick), Miranda Valdez (Cesar), Ashlyn Key, Jamey Brinson, Kristian Jerome (Robert), Tyler Key (Kayla), William Mueller and Judson "Tommy" Key (Olivia). He is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren.
