She was predeceased by: her husband C. Kenneth Whitaker; and her sister Toni Lanier. She is survived by: her children, Darrell Moore, Amy Tapley (Ray), Kent Whitaker (Dana), Warren Whitaker and Wendy Nelms (Keith); her grandchildren, Katelin Tapley, Sage Moore, Cody Moore, Tucker Whitaker, Abby Tapley, Tyson Whitaker, Kevin Whitaker and Lastenia Scaggs; and her siblings, Billie Jo Sullivant, Leslie Watford and Charles Hick.
