She was predeceased by: her husband Frederick H. Smith; her parents, T. B. Isler and Lillie Mae Pittman Isler; and her sister Geraldine Fletcher. She is survived by: her son Frederick "Fred" Smith (Deborah); her grandson Jerry Douglas (Michelle); her great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Hornsby (Dalton) and Jordan Douglas; and her niece Melanie Hill (Eric). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors (214 Davis Rd, Augusta, GA 30907). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
