She was predeceased by: her husband Guy Baxley "Pete" Atkins, Jr.; her daughter Vera Atkins Hanley; her parents, Benjamin James Neely and Miriam Irene Price Neely; and her brother Franklin Delano Neely.

She is survived by: her siblings, Dr. Ben Neely (Susanne) of Lyons and Connie Neely Duke of Augusta; and her granddaughter Ashton Hanley of Texas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Berlin Methodist Church, 1518 Hephzibah-McBean Road, Hephzibah, GA 30815.
