With sadness, we share the passing of Lynn Cawley McDearis of Augusta, Georgia. Lynn, born on September 18, 1951, passed away on October 4, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Ron McDearis; her sons, Terry Syms, Jr. and Chad Syms (Tara); her mother Fay Cawley; her siblings, James W. "Bill" Cawley, Jr., Jill Syms (Wayne) and Laura Waters (Charlie); her grandchildren, Chloe, Connor and Claire Syms; her niece Allison Cawley; her nephews, Hank Syms (Falin), Will Syms and James W. Cawley III; and her pets, Millie and Charcoal.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors (214 Davis Rd, Augusta, GA 30907). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Piney Grove Baptist Church or to a charity of your choice.
