She was predeceased by: her parents, Flady H. James and Nancy Ida James; her daughter Debra Mims Kirkland; and her siblings, Vernon James, Morris James, Eugene James, Emmie Ridlehoover and Shirley Skinner.
She is survived by: her son Gregory W. Mims of Statesboro; her son-in-law Steve Kirkland of Augusta; her grandchildren, Jeffrey D. Mims of Augusta, Kelleye, Justin Kowal of Evans, Jana, Josh Bolin of Texas and Bradley Kirkland of Augusta; her sister Ann Key (Ronnie) of Augusta; and her siblings-in-law, Annette James and Edward Skinner. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Silvercrest Baptist Church General Fund, 3431 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta GA 30906.
