She was predeceased by: her parents, Rachel Starling Mayberry and John Albert Mayberry; her husband Walter "Smitty" Tex Smith; her daughter Frances Marshon Odum; and her son-in-law Charles Odum.
She is survived by: her children, Terry Nix (Sharon), David Smith (Kathy), Rebecca Stewart (Kevin), Sheila Drunasky (Doug), Tena Taylor (James) and Juanita Biggs (Dave); and her grandsons, T. J. Stevens, Tony Smith, Christopher Tatum, Scott Mills, Kenneth Suggs and Sean Woods. She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren, 16 great- grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.
