Marie Gay Holley Obituary

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Albert Gay and Hannah Belle James Gay; and her siblings, Cleveland Gay, Marion "Bud" Gay, Willis Gay, Lulla Belle Cave, Reby Gay, Emma Jane Massa, Macey Maddox, Margie Blackmon and Myra Elsie Wheeler.
She is survived by: her children, Charlene Weathers (David) and Grayland James Poole (Melanie); her grandchildren, Clifford Hess (Amberle), Soleil Smith (Jonathan), Rylan Poole (Aimee), Jace Poole and Sky Poole; her great grandchildren, Eric Hess, Guin Hess, Ember Smith and Colton Smith; and her siblings, Arthur Judson Gay, Sr., W. L. Cave and Ruby Fielder-Thompson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors (214 Davis Rd, Augusta, GA 30907). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at the Westover Memorial Park (2601 Wheeler Rd, Augusta, GA 30904).
