She was predeceased by: her parents, William Elrod and Annie Elrod; her husband Garland Maurice Slater Sr.; her daughter Mara Deane Slater; her grandson Steven Slater Greene; and her great grandchild Mason Quarles.
She is survived by: her children, Brad Slater (Brenda), Gary Slater (Mandy) and Victoria Hardy (Chris); her grandchildren, Rachel Cogley (John), Brandi Slater, Blake Slater (Tammy), Stephanie Slater, Stacey Copsy (Evan) and Mara Deane Slater; and her great grandchildren, Emma, Logan, Christina, Loral, Kelsey Mae, Charlotte, Cassidy, Maddisyn, Harley, Elijah, Alexis, Summer, Leslie, Blakey, Cali and Kendal.
