She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband John Weeks Scroggs; her parents, James Bernard and Lauree Ponds Carpenter; her children, Martha Coleman Scroggs Graham (Brian), John Weeks Scroggs Jr. and Phillander "Phil" Pearsall Scroggs; her grandchildren, Rachel Pierce Scroggs, Patricia Alaine "Lainey" Scroggs, Caroline Rutledge Graham, Coleman Adams Scroggs and Luciano "Luke" Carpenter Graham; her brother Rutledge Bernard Carpenter; her cousins, Parks Motlow (Jan) and Lee Motlow (Bev); and her caregiver Freda Bennett.
