He was predeceased by: his parents, E. G. Miller and Nellie Miller; his siblings, C. E. Miller, Sr., Harold M. Miller and Thelma Pearson; and his grandsons, Karl Franklin Stiefel and Paul Stiefel.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Miller; his children, Ernie Miller (Melissa), Tim Miller (Jessi), Nicki Shannon (Doug) and Julie Stiefel (Karl); his grandchildren, Victoria Stiefel, Michelle Lemon (Mike), Brandon D. Shannon (Abby), Ian Miller (Emily), Colton Lane, McKenzie Lane, Garrett Lane, Corey Miller, Lily Miller and Lani Huey; his great grandchildren, Madalyn, Michael, Harper, Baby Shannon, Anna Claire, Layla, Alexander, Christopher and Karlee; his siblings, Sara Stratacos, Ellen Wolfe, Winton Miller (Trish), Ronald Miller (Karen) and Donald Miller; his sister-in-law Janice (Miller); and his close friend Trouble. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
