She was predeceased by: her husband Ralph C. "Rip" Powell, Sr.; her parents, Mary Louise Clark Cadle and Luther Eugene Cadle; her son Marvin Powell; and her grandson Dee Oellerich.

She is survived by: her children, Ralph C. and Donna "Dee" Oellerich; her grandchildren, Trey Powell, Heather Powell, Wil Powell, Maria Daley and Heidi Oellerich; and her great grandchildren, Caitlyn Guilfoyle, Hunter Guilfoyle, Ruth Daley, Esther Daley and Carter Powell.

“Ralph & Family, I am really at a loss to tell you how much I'll miss Bootsie in the coming days. I am indeed sorry for your loss & I know you already miss her too. She was loved by so many of us at Pine Hill & others who were just friends. She was a lovely lady whom we all adored. Try not to sorrow too much, but just remember the good times we all had with her & the good legacy she left from her many years of teaching in the schools as well as bible studies at church. You are in my prayers”
