She was predeceased by: her parents, Pete Marchman and Mattie Carr Marchman; and her husband Macon Thigpen. She is survived by: her children, Stephen Patrick Johnson (Jackie), William Dalton Johnson and Shelby J. Washington (Keith); and her grandchildren, Ryan Washington, Kaylin Gregory, Gena Tripp, Amanda Kenney (Jacob) and Abigail Johnson. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Chance & Hydrick Funeral Home (2502 Richmond Hill Rd, Augusta, GA 30906). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Bible Deliverance Temple (1857 Fenwick St, Augusta, GA 30904).
