He is survived by: his wife Kimberley Banta; his daughters, Deborah Banta and Sarah Banta; and his siblings, Debbie Tipton (Rob) and Brent Banta of Malaysia. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

A burial was held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery (4170 Percival Rd, Columbia, SC 29229).
