John Gearhart wrote a sympathy message

“I have known MIldred since she and Charles were dating and had the honor of attending their wedding in Waynesboro. She was a true southern lady, great wife and mother. I last saw her in September of 2019 at the Augusta Country Club. Although she was ill she was as radiant and funny as ever and like Charles had to many clear memories of my behavior as an MCG resident. We will pray for Charles and the children and honor her memory in Augusta when we can in the future. john Gearhart Baltimore”
