Jernigan of Augusta, Georgia, born in Brookhaven, Mississippi, who passed away on December 1, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Claude Jernigan; her son Lawrence "Derrick" Taylor; her grandson Ronald Martin; and her siblings, Mae O'Day, Janette Johnson, Robert Richardson and Jessie Richardson.
She is survived by: her friends, Lawrence Taylor, Frieda Carn and Anne Jane Logan; her children, Charles Brown, Sharon Reynolds, Ezra Richardson (Spring), Anthony Taylor (Rachel) and Tonya Taylor; and her sisters, Melissa Richardson and Donnie Richardson. She is also survived by grandchildren; great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the C. A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home (314 Laney Walker Blvd A, Augusta, GA 30901). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the D'Antignac Street Church of Christ (1002 D'Antignac St, Augusta, GA 30901). A burial will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the Walker Memorial Park (620 Laney Walker Blvd, Augusta, GA 30901).
