He was predeceased by: his wife Georgia Byrd; and his son Torrey Byrd. He is survived by: his children, Byron Byrd, Dwayne Byrd Sr. and Tamar Byrd-Parker; and his sister Ethel B. Williams. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, one great grandchild.
