She was predeceased by: her parents, Fredrick J. Schwartz and Mildred F. Benes Schwartz; her former husband George Moore Champion Jr.; her husband Bernard G. Dumais; her son George Moore Champion III; her sister Suzanne Schwartz Busenlehner; and her stepson Mark Dumais.
She is survived by: her daughters, Christina M. Sisk (Christy) and Rebecca S. Champion (Becky); her stepdaughters, Diane Dumais (Henry Gordon) and Denise Dumais (George Johnston); her grandsons, John Sisk and Andrew Sisk (Andy); her great grandchild Autumn Sisk; her brother Frederick G. Schwartz (Carolyn); her nieces, Cynthia Busenlehner, Terry DeLille (David) and Sherry Dillon; and her nephew Matthew Busenlehner. She is also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews and great-great nieces and nephew.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors (214 Davis Rd, Augusta, GA 30907). A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church (1420 Monte Sano Ave, Augusta, GA 30904). A burial will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at the Westover Memorial Park (2601 Wheeler Rd, Augusta, GA 30904).
In lieu of flowers, her family invites donations to be made in Nettie's name to Aquinas High School, 1920 Highland Avenue, Augusta, Ga 30904.
