It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rebecca Janell Watson (Augusta, Georgia), born in Metter, Georgia, who passed away on December 24, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Mackie Mercer and Eula Mae Mikell Mercer; and her grandchild Paige Folley Christian. She is survived by: her husband James M. "Jim" Watson; her children, Mikell Watson (Sandra) and Patricia Warren (Charles); and her grandchildren, Todd Folley, Courtney Maggied, Rev. Michael C. Watson and Matt Watson. She is also survived by the 11 great grandchildren.
