He is survived by: his daughter Debra Mitchell Jones (Tom); his son-in-law Martin Morris; his grandchildren, Amber Velazquez (Elmer), Andrew Whisnant (Ashley), Gabrielle Whisnant, Brian Jones (Lindsey) and Bradley Jones (Grace); his great grandchildren, Blayne Gates, Mason "Red" Gates, Bentley Gates, Cayson Jones, Oakley Jones, Dawson Whisnant and Colton Whisnant; and his pet Shadow.
