He is survived by: his children, Woodrow Stringer (Melinda), James Richard Stringer (Chanell) and Cynthia Byrd; and his stepchildren, George Davis, Lloyd Davis (Faye) and Georgia Hackett (Ronald). He is also survived by twenty-eight grandchildren, thirty-six great grandchildren, fifteen great great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
