He was predeceased by: his parents, Walton Barton and Mamie Stewart; and his siblings, Junior, Alvin, Walter and Mary Kelligan.
He is survived by: his wife Robin; his children, Tim Barton (Barb), Deirdre Hacker (Brian) and Randy Barton; and his stepdaughters, Anna Smith and Jammie Lambiotte (Jeff). He is also survived by ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors (2502 Richmond Hill Rd, Augusta, GA 30906). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Chance and Hydrick Funeral Directors (2520 Richmond Hill Rd, Augusta, GA 30906).
