For Shama is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He is survived by: his parent Jacqueline Cartwright Johnson; his sons, Chauncey Taylor-Cartwright, Caleb Cartwright and Fafa; his aunts, Marie Johnson, Dr. Judy D. Cummings (D. Charles) and Genene Lewis; his uncle Jesse W. Cartwright; and his close friend Toni Dean. He is also survived by his five grandchildren.
