She was predeceased by: her mother Mary Jarrell Round of Augusta; her grandson Kyle Thomas Zimdahl; Dr. Samuel Round of Augusta, Georgia.. She is survived by: her husband Tom Smelser of Hephzibah; her children, Angela McDaniel, TJ Smelser and Mary Rebecca Smelser; her sons-in-law, Richard "Mac" McDaniel and Skylar Kennedy; her grandchild MacKenzie Paige McDaniel; and her great grandchild Reagan Paisley Zimdahl.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those who wish can make a donation to Child Evangelism Fellowship as Shellie spent her adult life teaching children about Jesus.
